How a Job Runs, From the First Call to Cleanup

Here is what to expect once you reach us. You'll know what's happening at every stage.

  1. 1

    We talk on the phone

Tell us what happened and what you're seeing, like a leak, missing shingles or dented gutters. We set a time to come out and look.

  2. 2

    Inspection with photos

We check the roof surface, flashing, vents, gutters and the attic where we can reach it. You get photos and a plain explanation of the damage.

  3. 3

    Your options in writing

We give you a line-item estimate and our honest view on repair versus replacement. If you're filing a claim, we explain which photos and notes tend to help.

  4. 4

    The work day

We protect your yard, pull any required permit and keep you updated as the work moves along. If water is getting in, we tarp first so your home stays dry while plans come together.

  5. 5

    Cleanup and walk-through

We clear debris, sweep for nails and walk the finished roof with you. You get final photos for your records.

A Roofing Company That Keeps Things Calm

We want to be the roofer you call after the hail stops, when you're worried and unsure who to trust. Most of the homes we see are solid houses with roofs that took a hard hit. They need a clear look and a sensible plan, not a sales pitch.

We work outside on your home, so we treat your yard, driveway and gutters with care. We explain what we find in everyday language and put the plan in writing. When the job is done, you can see the work for yourself.

Why Neighbors Call Us After Bad Weather

A damaged roof is stressful, and the days after a storm bring plenty of door-knockers with quick answers. We slow things down just enough to get it right.

We show you before we tell you
Every inspection comes with photos of what we found: bruised shingles, lifted tabs, dented vents, cracked flashing. You see the same thing we saw, so you are never asked to take our word for it.
An honest repair-or-replace answer
Plenty of storm-hit roofs only need a section of shingles and some new flashing. If a repair will hold, we say so. If the damage is spread across the whole roof, we explain why a replacement makes more sense.
Insurance explained in plain terms
We walk you through how a claim usually works, what the adjuster looks for, and what documents help. The claim stays between you and your insurer. Our job is to show clearly what is damaged.
Your home stays protected while we work
We cover landscaping, guard the driveway and keep the work area tidy. Before the crew heads out each evening, a magnetic sweeper goes over the lawn, beds and driveway to pick up stray nails.
Estimates you can read line by line
Tear-off, decking, underlayment, flashing, vents and cleanup each get their own line. No mystery totals and no pressure to sign on the spot.

Questions Homeowners Ask Us

Should I file an insurance claim before or after a roofer looks at my roof?

Getting the roof inspected first is usually the smarter order. An inspection tells you whether the storm caused damage worth claiming, so you aren't filing on a guess. We give you photos and notes you can share with your insurer. The decision to file is always yours.

How can I tell if hail damaged my roof from the ground?

Often you can't. Look for clues like dented gutters, downspouts or AC fins, granules piling up at the bottom of downspouts, and shingle pieces in the yard. Hail bruises on shingles are hard to spot without getting on the roof, which is why we bring photos back down to show you.

Water is coming through my ceiling. What should I do first?

Move belongings away from the drip, set out a bucket, and take photos of the ceiling and any wet areas. If the drywall is bulging, a small hole in the center lets the water drain instead of spreading. Then reach us by phone, and we'll schedule a visit to find the source and tarp the roof if needed.

Do I need a whole new roof after a storm?

Not always. If the damage is limited to one slope or a few spots, a repair can be the right call. When hits are spread across every slope, or the roof was already near the end of its life, replacement usually makes more sense. We explain which applies to your roof and why.

Will you meet with my insurance adjuster?

Yes, we can be there when the adjuster inspects so we can point out what we documented. We don't act as your adjuster or negotiate your claim. We just make sure the damage is seen and clearly explained.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most homes are re-roofed in one or two working days once materials arrive. Weather, roof size and any decking repairs can add time. We confirm the schedule with you ahead of time and keep you updated if rain moves things around.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. When your city requires a permit for the work, we pull it and schedule any inspection. You don't need to deal with the paperwork yourself.

What Moves the Price of Roof Work

No two roofs cost the same to fix or replace, even on the same street. Here is what actually changes the number. We go over each one with you before we write the estimate.

After we inspect your roof, we give you a written estimate that lists each part of the job. If something changes once the old roof is off, we show you photos and talk it through before doing extra work.

Size and pitch
More roof means more material and labor. A steep pitch needs extra safety setup and slows the crew down.
What's under the shingles
The wood decking is hidden by the shingles, so its true shape often shows only once tear-off is underway. Boards that have gone soft from trapped water need replacing, and we photograph them first so you see why.
Layers to remove
Some older roofs have a second layer of shingles laid over the first. Tearing off two layers takes more time and more disposal.
Materials you choose
Standard architectural shingles, impact-resistant shingles and metal all carry different costs. Impact-resistant options are worth a look in hail country, and some insurers recognize them.
Flashing, vents and details
Chimneys, skylights, valleys and attic vents all need careful flashing work. More details on the roof mean more labor.
Permits and timing
Reroofing often requires a city permit. After a widespread storm, material supply and scheduling can also shift.
